  - I am a huge Ka-Bar fan. I recently received this knife as a gift from my son. I took it camping to put it through its paces. It was razor sharp right out of the box. Cutting rope, food prep, feather sticks, you name it, it did it, handling all of my camp chores with ease. Pleasure to carry, great ergos, love the look and the ruggedness. Highly recommended.

  - I really like this design, especially the incorporation of the "blood groove" as an homage to the standard KABAR U.S.M.C. Fighting Knife! A nice touch! However, along with many of my customers, I am somewhat disappointed that this knife, as well as nearly all KABAR folding knives, is NOT made in U.S.A.

  - I had so many hopes for this little knife, and it doesn't disappoint. Nice lines, feels good in the hand. Comes with a nice edge that can be brought to hair-popping sharp in just a few minutes. The only gripe I have is that that the liner lock release is flush with the scales of the handle. Made it tough to close quickly. I was able to use a dremel and cut down just enough from the scale and frame of the knife to allow for easy access. It will almost certainly become my go-to carry knife, supplanting a knife that cost twice as much.

  - Good Knife. I like the Handles. The Knife is comfortable to Hold. I am not a fan of the Blade Steel. It Works, it is Sharp. It is easy to resharpen, I am a Blade Steel Snob I admit it. I know the Steel is why the Knife has an affordable price tag. 1 thing about the knife that I would change. A Detent for the liner lock would make closing the Blade easier. And how about a deep carry pocket clip.

  - I bought this immediately after the drop. I own a number of their "budget" folders, (Gila, 2nd to the mk98) and this Mk98 is hands down my favorite. I LOVE the blade, i actually prefer TIP DOWN on a flipper, and prefer SHALLOW carry and the 98 allows every bit of that. Can't beat the price, and ability. The 5cr shouldn't bother you if you can stone/strop. I am going to buy another, which is why i came here, and attempt to customize it a bit. It has been my daily carry for nearly 2 years. This thing takes a crazy edge, quickly, and always draws "googly eyes" from knife guys. Suggestions: I know you put out the high end 450+ S&U version, but from 20/30-400/500 is a giant gap. We said we would gladly pay more, triple, for a better steel and some options....we didn't mean 10× the amount out of reach for the middle guy who likes good knives but doesn't want a gas station knife and willing to push the $100 tag. Thank you

  - I really like this knife, feels great in the hand, very versatile, easy to sharpen and holds edge well. Had problems with the main pivot screw coming loose. tightened it down multiple times as the blade was wobbly when open. Tightened to the point that apparently I had overtightened. I've only had the knife for 10 months and had to tighten multiple times(5-6) as this was an EDC. Didn't really withstand having it and walking quite a bit everyday.

  - First off I love the knife design that was the whole reason i bought the knife with the droppoint blade shape and with the Ka-Bar trademark fuller on the blade. I love the handle which is g-10 but the pattern makes it look like a traditional wood or micarta styling and feels good in the hand with the swell on the pommel. Now for the bad parts which are simple fixes to the knife design itself and not the quality because i know that they are trying to go towards the affordable section. They should have left some sort of opening for the liner lock or at least giving the liner lock a jimping so that I would be able to unlock my knife without getting pinched by the liner lock every time i fold the blade with one hand. My other complain would be the screws again i know it's made in china but I wasn't able to take apart the knife because the head of the screws stripped. I also hope they improve on the washers in the future i know its asking alot but Bronze bushing please or make the blade a little heavier some how so that the deployment of the blade would come out alot more smoother.
